The About Us section of the ITCC states:
“The Irish Thai Chamber of Commerce is the recognised forum for people with an interest in the development of business ties between Ireland and Thailand.
The ITCC is a non-profit organization funded entirely by membership fees together with revenue generated from its own activities. The Chamber is run by a President together with the Board of Directors, all elected by the ITCC members at an Annual General Meeting.
The ITCC’s objectives include promoting and developing trade links between Ireland and Thailand. The Chamber was founded in 2003 by Liam Ayudkij and Jerome Kelly and developed into a fully fledged Chamber registered under the Ministry of Commerce.
The Chamber works closely with the Irish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which has responsibility for Thailand and also with the Consulate of Ireland in Thailand based in Bangkok. The ITCC has also been an active member of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) and the Board of Trade of Thailand (BoT). The ITCC is independent but is closely aligned to Irish Government bodies such as Enterprise Ireland and the Industrial Development Authority which have responsibility for encouraging Foreign Direct Investment into Thailand and Ireland.”
