Hughes Krupica community CSR – Food for COVID patients at PSU Field Hospital, Phuket

1st August 2021

Hughes Krupica’s team continue to be restricted, as do many others, in relation to the Pandemic regulations designed to try and apply safety measures during the extremely slow distribution process of vaccinations.

Notwithstanding the obvious political issues out there for all to see and form their own opinions, the non-politicised objectives of CSR/ESG are for us – to simply help people, here and there, within our means, and to improve the situation of others with maximum impact and directness.

Therefore, for our most recent assistance implementation, we bought meals for COVID19 patients at the field hospital. We learned that these patients are only provided 1 meal a day by the state from taxpayers monies. It seems there are not enough resources to be shared at times of need. At a time of great physical weakness and sickness, patients don’t need lectures on the issues with the state system, they just need help. Many are familiar with what this means, as many have suffered or have had family members suffer COVID19 variants and as we know from the daily statistics, the death rate from this pandemic is atrociously high.

As always, we aren’t looking for praise or to shine in glory from our small contributions – we want to share our activities in case others are inspired to help, and we have provided telephone numbers to be practical in that regard.
